Probably the worst example of this is Dragon Age: Origins. And magic oriented classes do the reverse. Melee oriented classes use the physical stats, while ignoring the mental ones. If this feels new and scary, it’s probably because lot of cRPG systems take their cue from the classic D&D thing where you have an attribute system with physical related stats and mentally related ones. This allows for more experimentation, more freedom in how you want to play the game and a greater variety of builds. ![]() No matter what class you are, all stats matter. One of the main goals with which PoE’s system was designed was for there to be no bad builds. That's a really nonsensical and stupid system.
